SongVault Artist Profile

I've listened to all types of music and enjoyed just about all that I've heard. This has always been a source of pleasure for me and yet, there was always a need for something more. I decided at a very young age that I wanted to be in a band. I made this happen. Sometimes by chance, sometimes on purpose. I was able toplay with some really great people in and around the Boston area. Brushed up against some names that I will not drop (not my style) and just had a really good time gigging and jamming. At some point I figured out that recording original material was really what I wanted to do. So, I cobbled together a home recording studio and started my own music publishing company. So now, along with playing and singing, I've embarked on trying my hand at composing, arranging and production.

I'm currently developing material for a few fellow artists and friends which I hope to have released for distribution and consumption. As far as who I sound like or who influenced me? I'd say I sound a lot like what I've been through and who I've listened to in my lifetime. Go figure. When they ask what genre are you? Or what type of music do you play? I don't really have a definitive answer for that. You have to move outside the box - this isn't your dad's music but it ain't mom's either. The lines' are somewhat blurred now. It's not rap anymore it's hip hop , it's not rock anymore it's alternative (alternative to what man?) It's Americana (now that's prolific). I tell 'em, I'ts music - it's what's inside come out alive. Now, I'm just running on and on and no one wants to hear what I have to say - so just listen to the music and thanks for coming round.
